We are definitely very late to the party when it comes to the fabulous “Knickers Model’s Own”! We spotted a news story about Caroline on BBC News this morning (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-35070284) and we were blown away by her campaign.
Caroline has been wearing charity clothes every day throughout 2015 with the aim of raising money for Cancer Research UK in memory of her Mum, Mary, who sadly passed away after a battle with cancer in 2014. On 4th November, about 1,000 items of clothing and accessories went on sale at Harpenden Public Halls where just over £2,600 was raised. As of just now (13th December 2015), the total stands at £37,440.60, against the original target of £36,500.00!
You can find out more about Caroline’s campaign below, but we have to say just how impressed we are. A fabulous idea raising money for a worthy cause, and hopefully it will encourage more people to shop in charity shops 🙂
