With only 11 weeks to go until Christmas (where has the time gone?!), we’ve already started thinking about what to buy for family and friends.
One of our favourite gift ideas is Unicorn Adoptions: a super cute pack containing many unicorn-related goodies and we’re secretly tempted to buy one for ourselves!
We caught up with co-founder James Smith to find out more…
Please can you tell us how Unicorn Adoptions came about?
My business partner Mark Swift and I felt as if there was so much pessimism and negative press in the world right now. Every news story we read or heard about was negative and so we wanted to develop a product which brings pure escapism, to help everyone forget their troubles. That’s when Unicorn Adoptions was born!
We believe that the Unicorn symbolises love and acceptance for all people and because of this we set ourselves out on a mission for everyone to discover their inner fabulousness no matter what age!
By creating the Unicorn Adoptions product we wanted to support the work of three fantastic charities embodying our values. Every Unicorn Adoption pack helps supports the charities: Alder Hey Children’s Charity, Stonewall and Community Integration Care, all of whom do fantastic work.
What lovely goodies can people expect to receive in their Unicorn Adoption pack?
The Unicorn Adoption pack comes in lots of different forms. You can choose one of a number of Unicorn soft toys with each pack or purchase the pack by itself.
Each pack contains:
A blank Unicorn adoption certificate – name your Unicorn!
A confirmation letter
A Unicorn badge
A Unicorn key ring
A Unicorn face mask (self assembly)
A Unicorn bookmark
A Unicorn colouring in sheet
2 x A4 Unicorn posters
2 x Unicorn postcards
3 x Unicorn stickers
It makes a great gift to show your loved ones how fabulous they really are. A unique gift they will treasure forever!
Do you have any plans to include any new kinds of packs?
Yes, keep a look out on our website – more exciting news to follow shortly…
We think this is such a brilliant idea, and the fact that charities benefit means that your thoughtful gift idea will help so many other people too.
You can find out more about Unicorn Adoptions at their website, on their Facebook page, on Instagram or on Twitter.
